GRIP-TRED ANTI-SKID SAFETY

Grip-Tred is an anti-skid safety coating for use on concrete, metal and wood.
It comes in premixed colors like yellow, orange, grey and black. Create an anti-skid surface anywhere you need additional traction. Formulated to withstand tough conditions, this VOC compliant, alkyd based Grip-Tred can be used on stairs, ramps, landings, platforms or as outlines to create a safety zones in your work area.

APPLICATION & SURFACE PREPARATION

ON NEW EXTERIOR WOOD:
Ensure  years.that wood is fully dried. Sand the surface with 80 grit sandpaper.
Clean wood by using a vacuum or wiping the surface with a lint free cloth.

ON CONCRETE:

If new oncrete is 6 months and smooth , wash with diluted muniatic acid to etch and neutalize. Rinse off with fresh wwater and let dry.

If concrete is worn, wash surface with TSP and rinse with water and let dry.

ON METAL

Ensure that metal is free from oil and rust. Sand the surgface to enhance adhesion. It is recommended that hte alkyd based GRIP TRED be used on metal.

ON PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES AND MAINTENANCE COATS:

Use a wire brush and sandpaper to remove all loose paint.

Wash surface with TSP and rinse with water and let dry.

Not for use over previously painted latex based paints.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS

Ensure that the product in the can is thoroughly mixed  and uniform.

Apply using a medium nap roller to surfaces to create additional traction.
Allow the applied coating to dry for at least 24 hours before stepping on the surface.

It should take up to 7 days for a full cure.

USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. To avoid breathing vapors and spray mist, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase fresh air. If properly used, a respirator (NIOSH approved) may offer additional protection; obtain professional advice before using. A dust mask does not provide protection against vapors. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash thoroughly after handling. Close container after each use. FIRST AID: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical assistance immediately. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15-20 minutes and get medical attention; for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If swallowed, get medical attention immediately.
*WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.
